Melissa Baird

Melissa believes that each person has within themself what they need to live into the fullest experience of their True Self. It is an honor and privilege for her to bear witness, deeply listen, and compassionately explore this unveiling. Her ability to hold space finds its roots in her own journey of healing and transformation, and the many beautiful souls who held space for her so that she may continually learn to listen and honor Divine within her. It is therefore a deep privilege for her to be present with others as they listen and honor Divine within them.

Melissa’s various roles include being a former elementary school teacher, and current roles as a parent, wife, and trauma therapist. Her experience as a student in The Living School (2019-2021) through the Center for Action and Contemplation has been extremely formative in her journey.  She also deeply values and continues to practice somatic abolitionism through her experience with Education for Racial Equity.

Her experience of Christianity has undergone much change and transformation since growing up in the evangelical Christian tradition. She now connects deeply with mystical and contemplative Christianity, but even those labels she holds very loosely. She is grateful to honor and see Divine in all people and spiritual practices.
