Centering Prayer as coined by Thomas Merton, is the opening of the mind and heart to God, the Ultimate Mystery, beyond thoughts, words and emotions. Come join us! There will be input on the process as well as the actual practice of centering.

"Come to me all you who are tired and weary, and I will give you rest." Hear the invitation and come apart for a while. The day includes personal prayer and optional spiritual direction. The time will begin and end with communal prayer.

It is consistent with our Judeo-Christian tradition and teaches that each person is a unique manifestation of God and looks at ways that we unconsciously distort this reflection. Learning the truth about our gifts and compulsions gives us a greater freedom to relate to self, God and others.

Praying Movie Series
Presentor: Sr. Margaret Scott, ACJ Dates: Thursday - December 18, 2008 Time: 6:30 pm-9:30 pm Fee: Each Session: $15 - including refreshments Complete Series: $40 Movie: "Cars" Cars While traveling to California for the dispute of the final race of the Piston Cup against The King and Chick Hicks, the famous Lightning McQueen accidentally damages the road of the small town Radiator Springs and is sentenced to repair it. Lightning McQueen has to work hard and finds friendship and love in the simple locals, changing its values during his stay in the small town and becoming a true winner.

Days/Evenings of Prayer for Parish Ministers/School Faculties
The Center offers its
facilities to host a program for your parish ministers, school faculty, prayer
group, etc. You can either bring your own director/facilitator and plan your own
program or allow the staff at the Center to do this for you. Our space can
accommodate groups of up to 75 persons for a day or evening program. Call the
